This rabbit fetish was carved by Arvella
Cheama of the Zuni Pueblo. Carved from Picasso marble this rabbit
fetish, entering a carved hollow log, has blue turquoise eyes.
These rabbits in a log, as I call them, are always finely carved
by Arvella. This one is a little larger than the norm, and a fine
example of her beautiful carving work. This fetish is 2 and 1/2
inches long 1 and 1/8 inches tall, and 1 inch wide. Signed by
the artist, "Arvella Cheama, Zuni".
